High bitrate AppleTV problems

Hi! Just started using infuse on my ATV first generation 4k streaming from my linux server with smb. I have had som problems with streaming some movies and have a stable connection, some of these problems is caused by some bad setups on my server, however i think i had figured out most of it now.

But i still have some issues with it not wanting to play som movies, some 1080p with high bitrate and all 4k movies with bitrates over 70mbps. Right now I use wifi between the APV and router but have a wired connection to the sever. I get about 100Mbit/s which i thought would be enough. I will get a wired connection to the ATV aswell but was curious if this is a common problem with that old 4k atv or if I should consider some other setup changes. Smb or NFS wouldt matter to my knowledge if not infuse does better with NFS?

A test that may give more insight as to what’s going on is the speed test in Infuse. Pick one of the problem videos and do a speed test in Infuse to 100% and post the results here with a screen cap of the graph.

One thing you can try is using a different SMB setting. Usually SMB 2 seems to work for most or try Legacy.

One other setting that may impact your overall speed is the Streaming Cache. You can try different settings to see if one may improve your viewing.
