Pretty much what the subject line says. I’m trying to hide the files and folder that I add for indexing to not automatically show up on Favorites on the Home Screen.
For example, I already have Movies and TV Shows showing on Home Screen, so having my added files “Movies and Television” show up on Favorites is redundant (see attached image).
I thought there used to be a way to hide added files/folders on favorites in Home Screen. Is there still a way to do this, or perhaps can this be added in a future release? Much appreciated!
For the Mac version right click on the one you want gone and select either remove from favorites or remove from home screen depending on the type it is.
@NC_Bullseye I wasn’t the OP I just commented on their post, however the set up guide you linked to does not help with IOS,unless I’m missing something blatantly obvious you can’t hide a favourite on IOS only remove it.
You quite literally are removing the favourite that’s why the option is remove not hide favourite,IOS works completely differently to TVOS,on the Apple TV the option is hide favourite.
2 operating systems 2 different setups 2 different home screens
I just did it 3 times in a row on my iphone. After “Removing From Favorites” it was gone on the home screen and then I went back and navigated back on the “+” screen and it was still there and was easily added back.
The bottom 5 orange tiles don’t need to be displayed, they’re not on TVOS because you have the option to HIDE them,IOS DOES NOT give you the option to do it.Removing the favourite removes its contents from your library not the same as Hiding it.
