Would it be possible to hide the progress bar when pausing and only show it when touching the touch surface of the Siri remote for example? When watching a movie I find it takes some of the suspense out of it knowing how much time there is left when pausing to get some snacks or something.
Thanks for your awesome app and all the progress it’s making!
Offer an option not to display the file name or video title during a pause, as well as the progress bar. On Apple TV this information appears above the subtitles, and makes them unreadable. In this mode, this informations could reappear with UP key
It does disappear, but I’m trying to stop it from showing up right away. Specifically hiding the playback details on pause. A feature of the Disney+ player is that when you pause the video, it only does that, and doesn’t show the controls, playback position, title, etc. Tapping the touch panel will show these details.
I like this because I often pause things I’m watching and don’t like knowing how close to the end I might be. Sometimes I do want the controls visible, if I’m enabling subtitles, changing audio tracks, etc, so having them still accessible is useful, but just not upon that first press of pausing.
I know this might just be a me thing, but it would be a nice option in settings to toggle.
It’s best not to add off topic suggestions in a thread. Please feel free to start a new thread with other suggestions. It keeps things from getting derailed or muddied.
I’ll like whatever you want, just give me a nice UX xD
I’m still using the old Emby Android TV app because it has enough of a delay for displaying the UI when video is paused, so i can quickly click the back button and the UI doesn’t show up.
I still don’t understand how barely anyone thought of this.
Theres a pause button for a reason, its not meant to be used as the enter/select button.
Yes, Disney+ will show a pause icon in the center. Having some visual indicator is a good idea. I also think if it were possible, that making this an option would be wise, people get very annoyed with change.
