Hero section + image selection

Hi there,

I’ve been using Infuse for a long, long time and I recommend it to everyone I can. It’s simply the best video player out there.

There’s just two things missing in my opinion (this goes for Plex as well as Jellyfin):

  • A hero section on the home page, with a big featured image + logo, in the form of a timed slideshow (like the Apple TV app).
  • The ability to choose which images to use in different areas of the app; for instance (in Jellyfin terms) I would love use a thumbnail of a show (with text) on the home page for my ‘Continue watching’ items instead of the poster, and then when I open a series page I would love to see the backdrop with a separate logo. This should be something that the user should be able to select themselves. I have truly tried all of the apps out there and none of them do this, it would truly make it so much easier to create a visually consistent library.

Would love to see if there’s more people who want this!

When making suggestions for features in Infuse it’s best to put only one suggestion per thread so each suggestion can stand on it’s own. :wink: That way other users can support each seperatly since the forum totals the number of likes for the first post in each thread in the suggestion area.

A Hero section and even trailers playing in the background would be very welcome. It would make Infuse look more modern, its mais page looks so outdated…
