HELP -- Formatted hard drive

OK here is the deal. I purchased a appletv with the internal hard drive taken out and upgraded to a 1TB sata external. I formatted the external and obviously ATV will no longer boot up. How can I restore the orginal OS and proper partitions? I have searched everywhere and still have come up with nothing.

You do not have the original drive anymore? If not, then you might be able to find the restore partitions on a website or torrent site, but that is completely unsupported by us. Due to the copyrighted software on the Apple TV we can not distribute that or aid in any way.
