Generic playback issues

I am running version Version 8.3.9 (8.3.5560) on a MacBook Pro running the latest version Tahoe 26.3. This macbook is connected to an ultrawide monitor. Whenever I playback files, which are served by Jellyfin, on any of the 2 monitors (internal or external) the pausing of media does not work instantly. I have to retry 5 or 6 times, either by using spacebar or the pause button in the interface, in order to get the media to actually pause.

Secondly this is a screenshot of the subtitle size even though it is set to tinier, they are way too big in order to conveniently read them. I sent an email regarding this to support but after 2 months there is no feedback.

Can you try updating to Infuse 8.4.2 and macOS 26.4 and see if this issue persists? There are quite a few changes between both of these updates.

@james, on 8.4.2, the issue with the aspect ratio is still there. Subtitles are taking about 1/3 of the screen of the external (ultrawide) monitor. I haven’t thoroughly tested pausing but the still frame taken from this video paused immediately. Will report back if I find different outcomes in the upcoming period.
