Framerate-Interpolation on the next AppleTV

Hi James :slight_smile:

It seems Apple provides an new API for Framerate-Interpolation on Apple Silicon.
That means this would likely be available on the next Apple TV, too.

Would it be possible to implement this to Infuse to give us the Possibility to interpolate the Framerate ON-Device from Low Framerate to to 60Hz Output?

This would be a real Gamechanger, to avoid this crappy Motionflow Interpolation directly on the TV-Device :blush:

What is “low”? 24p cinema?

Be better to just up the output to 120hz, every modern tv of past several years ive seen supports this now, and handle 24p natively, 5hz per frame. Rather than inserting offbeat frames to massage it upto 60.

Yes all low Framerate-Content (23,9Hz, 24Hz, 25Hz, 30Hz, 50Hz) should be interpolated to 120hz (if possible) :blush::+1:
