The link just has a small selection of each to compare styles. All the normal emojis will be available.
Noto and Unicode seem to be the same set in the comparison table.
They are very similar, but there are some subtle differences.

It looks like Unicode is the favorite and the forum is now set to use these.
The Discourse team is also considering adding native emoji support (IE allowing the browser to handle displaying emojis instead of linking to specific images) and this would allow us to get Apple’s emojis back.
Also, there is a new reactions feature - so in addition to simply liking a post there is a set of other options. These are available when hovering over the like button (or holding the like button on mobile).
