Perhaps an odd question… I think using FAT32 is a waste of space on an external HDD that only gets used with the AppleTV. Unfortunately, I only have a PC and canʻt readily reformat the drive in HFS+. SInce the AppleTV is basically a stripped down Mini-Mac, is there a way to use it to format a drive??
Boot your PC from a gparted live CD and format the USB drive with it: GParted -- Live CD/USB/PXE/HD
Just make sure you format the correct drive…
Formatting the wrong drive would be annoying… Thanks for the link… It looks like a good option so far.
