Could you please help me check what the built-in font of Chinese charcter in tvOS 18 is? Then I will be able to modify the fonts for all my ASS. files accordingly.
Since all platforms got upgraded to the latest version (18), the default font has changed as well compared to the past. SRT file is still fine, but looks like ASS. file needs to be modified manually.
is the missing character problem still not fixed?
i have got a few of movies with ass file format…they all work fine.
Apple is still making changes to font handing in the iOS/tvOS 18.1 and macOS 15.1 betas, so we will likely be adjusting things further once these get closer to being final.
As-is, there should no longer be missing characters, but there could be some minor differences in how fonts appear when things like BOLD text is specified.
