Currently if I contain multiple folders that contain multiple series the parent folder is just a blank folder icon. Similarly, if I contain all the Back to the Future films in a folder.
Why can’t the parent folder pull in the artwork from the first film or TV series?

You may try using the Library, as this will display artwork at all levels (series, season, episode).

Any chance of fixing this to work without using Library? It looks unpolished if I just use my TV shows or Movies shares on the homepage but don’t really want to go through the extra steps of going into the library every time to get it working properly.
You can set up your movies and tv shows folders from library as favourite in the main menu.
