Film and TV show artwork not displaying in Infuse library

Hey, just created an account in the hope that somebody can help me out.

I had a HDD die on me, which meant that Infuse didn’t get used for a while, until I bought and set up a new drive.

So, I have set everything up, but the artwork for films and tv shows was not displaying in the library, although the artwork was showing on the video’s individual page.

I read that moving all the video files into one folder would fix it. This worked for the films with the artwork immediately being displayed, but it is VERY problematic for TV shows because each episode of every series shows up individually in the Library, making it huge and cumbersome.

Infuse worked fine before my HDD died, when I had separate folders for each series. Has something changed? have I missed a setting?

Any help would be appreciated, I’m a big fan of Infuse and I am baffled as to what has gopne wrong, although I suspect it is my fault.

Thanks.

Did you set up a new share for the new drive? Infuse won’t recognize the old files on a new drive so you may want to try that. Also make sure you have sharing enabled for the new drive, sometimes in the Apple world that will cause issues if sharing isn’t correct.

Hi Bullseye, thanks for the reply.

Yeah, I’ve set-up new shares, deleted iCloud data, uninstalled and reinstalled a million times, tried various settings… nothing works.

I am at a complete loss, because I have not changed my folders at all and they used to work just fine, now it’s completely borked.

Just to re-iterate: I have two folders, one called Films, the other called TV.

I just put the .mkv film files straight into the films folder and the images and metadata is found, no problem.

However, because TV shows are done in series and seasons, I put all of the TV shows episodes into a folder and then put that folder into the TV folder. For instance, you would find episode one of season one of Kojak in NAS/Infuse/TV/Kojak/Season 1.

This extra layer of folders seems to stop the metadata being found for the library, but weirdly, if I click on TV show to see the episodes the images and metadata loads ok, but is still missing from the main library.

I am struggling to explain this, I don’t have the language… suffice to say it’s driving me insane.

I have been paying for Infuse for years, is there somewhere else I could go to get help?

Thanks again for your reply… much appreciated.

Maybe if you could provide a screen cap of the directories for one of the shows like Kojak we can figure out what’s going on.

9 times out of 10 it’s a name issue either for the individual files or the directory names.

Which Kojak, the 2005 version or the 1973 version?

Thanks again, Bullseye…

I spent over an hour composing my reply with images and everything, clicked the reply button and got this:

Arrrrrrrrrgh!

Thanks Bullseye…
