On tvOS, when clicking left or right (rewind or fast forward 10s) on the remote, please do not show the timeline. If I want the timeline I can always tap. But now every time I go forward or back I also have to tap to hide the timeline (or wait and let the overlay block the video for several seconds)
Hey James
Iād like to suggest a small but important usability improvement for the tvOS version of Infuse. Currently, when using the Siri Remote to skip forward or backward (by tapping on the right or left edge of the touch surface), the on-screen playback interface (timeline scrubber, metadata, controls, etc.) is always shown.
However, when using the iOS Remote app for skipping, the playback UI does not appear ā only the skip is executed, which results in a much cleaner and distraction-free experience.
Suggestion:
Please consider suppressing the on-screen playback UI when skipping via single left/right tap gestures on the Siri Remote. The playback UI should only appear when explicitly interacting with the touch surface (e.g. swiping or clicking), not during quick skip gestures.
This would bring consistency between the tvOS and iOS Remote behavior and make for a smoother, more immersive playback experience ā especially when skipping frequently.
Voicing my support (and hearting the OP) for this!
