failed to open input stream in demuxing stream

is the error I got yesterday. the day before no problem

now I can’t watch any video in infuse on my Apple TV

library is Mac mini

Is the mini on a hardwired LAN like Ethernet or WiFi? Sometimes the wifi will get changed from 2.5Ghz to 5Ghz or the other way and it won’t be found by Infuse.

You may want to try rebooting the mini also.

Does this happen with all files or only certain ones.

This error message is pretty generic and can be a file problem or a network issue.

It may also help if you post the version number of Infuse and the OS version numbers of the devices. :+1:

I ran into this issue using debrid/usenet streams when using infuse as external player for Stremio. Infuse would “time out” when trying to play certain files

This could also be some files no longer having read permission on group or other. I recently had an issue with just a handful of files where only the user permission read bit was set and the others were mysteriously gone.

A simple recursive re-application of read to all permission levels may do the trick:

chmod -R a+r .
