Failed to open input stream in demuxing stream error

Good evening,

I am using version 8.3.8 on Apple TV as well as on iPhone / iPad.

For several days now, I have frequently been getting the following error message: infuse com firecore media player error 1 + Failed to open input stream in demuxing stream.

Following this, I get a total disconnection from my server and can no longer play ANY movies or ANY series.

It is repetitive and annoying, especially after purchasing the Pro version for €110.

Do you have a solution?

What are you streaming from? What protocol? Plex, SMB, FTP, etc

I’m streaming from a SMB server

One thing to check is that the server name (or IP address) entered into Infuse is still correct. Server addresses can change from time to time and if this happens Infuse would be trying to connect on the original address which would not work.

If you’re able to send in a diagnostic report from your device (and post the code here) we can provide a bit more insight as to what may be going on.

Top Shelf error opening TV shows ( Windows 11)

As far as I understand, this error means the file cannot be accessed. I have the strange error where the TopShelf shows content not available for a specific user profile. My kid has access to a different library on his profile, but the Top Shelf does not reflect this. When he choses something not available to him, the exact same error pops up. so it might be a permission issue, especially if the files do play otherwise.

Hey evryone!

Whe I remotely connect to my network and launch Infuse on my iPhone to play a movie I get an error “Failed to open input stream in demuxing stream”. Why and how to solve it?

Other streaming services from my network, like web cam streaming for example, are working just fine.
