Extras / Featurettes not showing up for TV Shows but does for movies

I’ve had to move my media over from iCloud to Google Drive. When my media was on iCloud all my folders / naming conventions worked (I.e. extras, deleted scenes etc… all showed up as they should).

I’ve changed nothing about the folders when I moved to Google drive but now only extras / featurettes work for Movies and not TV Shows. Is there a reason for this? Have I done something wrong?

Thanks,

Sorry for the bump but would someone mind giving me assistance for this?

I’ve tried re-syncing and changing everything I can. Everything was working perfectly on iCloud but having moved everything to Google Drive has meant that my Extras / Featurettes no longer show for TV Shows (but they still do for Movies).

A typical folder structure I have is as follows:

TV Shows → Name of the TV Show (Date) → then within this folder are 2 folders being ‘Season 01’ and ‘Featurettes’ or ‘Extras’

Is the problem that maybe the folder structure isn’t allowed / working on Google drive (even though it seems to work with iCloud)?

Sorry, I’ve also just realised that my custom images for TV show posters and title logos aren’t pulling through for TV Shows whereas they did before (for iCloud). They still work for Movies, though. I’ve changed nothing else at my end.

It’s almost as if when you’re dealing with TV Shows (within Google Drive) the naming / folder conventions change, maybe?

Thanks for any help

The users guide Overriding Artwork and Metadata – Firecore Support says that cloud services won’t work so that appears to be the problem you’re encountering.

Overriding series/season artwork is not possible when using some streaming connections, including: Google Drive, OneDrive, Box, pCloud, Aliyun Drive, Baidu NetDisk, 115 Cloud Drive, and 123 Cloud Drive

Ah, okay - I missed that bit. Thank you.

Any elements that are missing i’ll make my own and upload to TMDB. Already uploaded for The League of Gentlemen and Dead Tides.

Upon further reading about my ‘extras’ issue I realise that I basically need to set them up as ‘specials’ and utilise the numbering system on TMDB. Am I right in thinking that where no such entry exists you can use this style of naming convention where folders don’t work:

“TV Show (1999) S01E01 -other.mkv”

Will this then list the extra in the ‘specials’ drop-down, show it in a way similar to movies or just not work at all?

Thanks

Yup, if they aired as “special” episodes then you’ll want to follow the TMDB numbering using season “00” so you’ll also have a “Season 00” folder along with your “Season 01” and “Season 02” etc.

The special episodes would then have file names like “TV Show (1999) S00E01.mkv”

As to the rest of the extras and the naming strategies, I really can’t say since I don’t currently have extras with my TV shows so maybe someone who does can chime in here.
