I’m starting to think it’s something to do with Apple. Apple might of said they didn’t want infuse to have that feature because iTunes has extras. Other then that it’s really bizarre you have a movie folder with a movie and inside that folder you have a folder called extra tell infuse to scrape that folder also and put a button that points to that folder doesn’t seem like it’s that hard.

Could be right. But if that’s the case, I’d rather they just said so. I otherwise like Infuse but this is what keeps it from fully supplanting Emby for me even though their app is comparatively deficient (putting it mildly) in every other aspect outside of extra feature playback.
Agree totally. We never get any answer from James on this matter. You post something and then they move the post in a huge previous forum subject that never gets answered. I just wish he (James) would just talk about the request and give us something of substance in a response.

There was a pretty detailed answer a few months ago as to the priorities they have.
Speaking strictly as a user, the bugs fixes and incremental improvements over the last year have benefited a large number of users me included.
The added feature of having the extras included would be nice but having had first hand exposure to software development I’ve seen what would appear to be the simplest function like this turn into cascading issues.
I moved your post to this thread to keep the discussion focused in one place instead of having multiple threads that would dilute the issue. When I move you post to this thread it bumps it up to the most recent so it does keep it active.

I’m sure many people, like myself, spent a lot of time curating a video library with extras, a feature every other major personal media server/client offers. Would love to see it happen here.

The Infuse programmer/programmers might not be able to solve it. I’m just gonna stop expecting it, and be happily surprised if it ever gets added.
Why should that have an effect? Plex have had support for extras for MANY years.
I wish they’d just tell us why they can’t or won’t implement this feature or if they will, when we’re likely to see it. We pay for the app. Surely we deserve some respect. Treat us like valued customers. Be honest and transparent.

Only for iphone. Not on Appletv. Now they have full support on all platforms.
I’ve been seeing extras on Apple TV in Plex for many years.
According to the roadmap, support for multi-user profiles are now targeted for 8.3. It is the only suggestion with more user votes than support for Extras. The multi user topic was from 2016, so there’s hope that we’ll get support for extras in 2026, since this topic was created one year later!
