I had my jellyfin server working with infuse perfectly before I upgraded to my Mac Mini. Now when I connect, it works until my Mac is restarted. It seems infuse needs a dedicated IP address, but I’m pretty sure my old Mac didn’t have one. Either I’m connecting wrong or I’ll have to get a static IP.
Your best bet is to assign a static IP to your Mac. When you create a share on your Mac you’ll either use a network name like mac.mini.local or an IP address. The IP address is very easy to assign on your router usually and will make it constant for Infuse to find.

What if I’m running a vpn? I’m using NordVPN
A static IP for the Mac could help or you can look at using the Mac’s local DNS name (EG My-Mac.local) which tends to change less often than a dynamic IP.
You should be able to have NordVPN active on the Mac without it impacting local streaming, but you will want to ensure the ‘Stay invisible on a local network’ option is disabled.
