Error with filenames containing asterisk

I moved all my files to a RAID, and Infuse works well on my iPhone - except I get an “An error occurred loading this content” on any mkv file in which I have a * inserted. The error disappears and file plays if I remove the asterisk. I added the asterisks to files in which I also had a bluray version, as a way of organizing my collection. I could go and change the hundreds of filenames, but wondered if there was a reason for this? Is Infuse thinking that the * is some kind of wildcard symbol and gets confused?

An asterisk is considered a reserved character, and typically shouldn’t be included as part of a file or directory name.

The following are reserved characters:

< (less than)

(greater than)
: (colon)
" (double quote)
/ (forward slash)
\ (backslash)
| (vertical bar or pipe)
? (question mark)

  • (asterisk)

I now understand that an asterisk is considered a reserved character, and typically shouldn’t be included as part of a file or directory name. I thought since it let me name, it was ok unlike using colon or symbol. I have removed all the *, and all is good. Thanks
