Emby Username and Password Error

I am trying to add an Emby share. I am using the Other Emby
option. When trying to add the share I get a “username and password
combination isn’t right. Please try again.” error. I can log in with these credentials on Emby’s web interface, so I know the credientials are ok.

Does anyone have any ideas about how to resolve this error? Thanks in advance!

Is this a local or remote Emby server?

Are you entering both a username and password into the settings page in Infuse?

Is the Emby server setup in a subfolder on the server?

Any custom ports in use?

If you’re able to send in a report from your device and post the code here this may help get a better idea as to where the issue may be.

It is a a remote Emby server.

Thank you for your quick response.

I did enter both a username and password in the Infuse settings (same username and password that I used successfully on the Emby web interface).

It’s not my server, so I’m not sure about subfolders or custom ports.

I sent a report; the diagnotic code is XZ7T3.

Interestingly I’m able to connect this same Emby server on my AppleTV 4k. I only get the error on my iPhone.

Did you find a solution to this issue? I’m having the same problem—any help would be appreciated!

It looks like Infuse is receiving a 401 (unauthorized) error when trying to connect to this Emby server. Was this share added manually on both Apple TV and iPhone, or was it added on one device and then synced to the other via iCloud?

If you’re able to send in a quick report (as mentioned above) we can take a look into your specific issue.
