since Infuse 8.2.6 I believe, there’s some inconsistency when showing the information about duration or others like bitrate, file size etc as shown below:
Any files that were added prior to 8.1.7 I believe it was, where this new info was added will not have this info since the new info is included in the initial scan. You can do an edit metadata and relselect the correct choice and it will scan the new info.
I see that on older files I have but if it’s important to me for that file I just do an edit metadata and it pops in.
I understand, but since this is happening on my new iPhone 17 Pro, the metadata is completely refreshed. Therefore, I should be able to see all the information for all the files, right?
I think that if the show was on your server prior to the addition of the extra info then it won’t show even on a new device since it was scanned for your server prior and that info is used for the new device.
I don’t think so but I’ve encountered it also in the past. I wonder if you tried a Refresh Metadata which I believe goes out and looks at all files it that would fill in all the blanks you’re seeing?
I rarely look at file size and bit rate in Infuse since I don’t do remote viewing on a phone but I can see where that could be an important bit of info. I too have seen the lack of duration which I often use but a quick edit seemed to fill in the blanks for that. I guess it’s just become such a habit that I don’t even think about it when I see one missing which is rare for me.
Hi, so today I tried to completely remove the metadata from the general settings within the app, to finally get a clean and fresh sync.
I can confirm that I could see all information including duration and other extra info
BUT, every time I open the app it’s like all dark and empty and then files are showing but sometimes without artwork and if I click on one of those file I’ll see that it’s loading (but it shouldn’t as it should be already downloaded right?) to ultimately show the right information after a few seconds (~15s)
