Your video said “don’t worry about the details”. Well, since I made a commitment to go with aTV Flash, I have been bombarded with technical details to the point I’m drowning in them.
FRANKLY, I COULDN’T JAILBREAK MY ATV2’S IF MY LIFE DEPENDED ON IT. I AM NOT A COMPUTER PROGRAMMER. THAT’S WHY I BOUGHT THE SOFTWARE.
I purchased two ATV2’s, with 4.4.3 firmware, and I can’t get anything to work. And, I bought a nice new BIG network drive to provide movies and TV shows on demand in my house.
I know the FireCore software engineers are at the effect of Apple, but this is not software where one “Doesn’t worry about the technical details”.
WHAT ARE WE ALL DOING WRONG? THE ILLUSTRATIONS LOOK SIMPLE ENOUGH, BUT I DON’T THINK THINGS ARE WORKING THE RIGHT WAY.
I wish it was easier. I love what I’ve seen. IMHO, you folks are doing to the ATV what Apple should have done themselves.
BY THE WAY, I WOULD HAVE BEEN HAPPY TO SPEND $150 FOR THE SOFTWARE IF IT WORKED WITHOUT ME WORRYING ABOUT THE TECHNICAL DETAILS.
FireCore, please respond AND HELP. Thank you very much.
The ATV Flash software has a pre-requisite of your system being jailbroken (something I think the description should make clearer) so you are never going to avoid the issue of getting the system jailbroken. Jailbreaking a system has always had a level of technicality and possible error although attempts have been made to make it easier for the average person. Personally I think the FireCore description for ATV Flash should recommend that you make sure that you can jailbreak your system before purchasing the ATV Flash (black) software.
The SeasonPass software that is normally the recommended way of doing the jailbreak is simply a packagaing of jailbreaks produced by someone else - it is not the ATV Flash (black) software. If you are finding the current jailbreaking process difficult (which I agree it is) then you should wait until an updated Seasonpass is made available that can jailbreak the 5.0 firmware. Indications are that it is not far off, although I guess only FireCore know for certain.
Thanks for explaining. I wish FireCore explained that up front. It would have saved me a to of time, but more so, it would have aligned my expectations with what was reality.
