Does `Scan for Changes` detect resolution changes (1080p ➝ 4K)?

I’ve recently upgraded a bunch of my 1080p movies to 4K. I’ve clicked Scan for Changes, but the Movies – By Resolution filter still has those movies in 1080p.

Is this something you guys have noticed? I want to avoid clicking Refresh metadata, as that would be overkill for hundreds of movies.

Did you keep the videos in the exact same folder structure and file name?

Thanks for replying.

Yes, for example, the same folder is named Jojo Rabbit (2019), but the old file is named:
Jojo Rabbit (2019) Bluray-1080p.mkv
And the new file is named:
Jojo Rabbit (2019) Remux-2160p.mkv

In general, Infuse will not update resolution/codec info for files that are replaced with the same name.

In this case, Infuse has flattened the Jojo Rabbit (2019) folder, so replacing the the video inside (even if the name is slightly changed) will still be recognized as the same item.

If you’re replacing these one at a time, you might consider updating the folder name as well.

I personally just made a top level folder for 4K and put them in there so I knew which ones I had
