Doesn’t the orange corner that means unwatched do this? No orange corner means watched.
Do you have the Watched Indicators turned on in settings?

That’s not what I’m looking for. People can change the status, and I regularly get requests for help because some people, who are elderly or simply not comfortable with technology, get lost.
I switched to Infuse when I bought my aTV 4K. Before that, I had Kody, but the colour is different.

It’s not clear to me exactly what you’re asking for (I’m not familiar with Kody, and in a bit of searching I didn’t turn up something that sounded like this). But I’m curious, because it sounds like something I’d like but don’t have a good idea about how to handle, which is to be able to rewatch a TV series and keep track of which episode I’m on without wiping out the fact that I have in fact watched the whole series (or season) previously. Kind of a “current position” independent of “watched yes/no”, though a simple “current position” would be too easy to accidentally wipe out if I went back to an earlier episode to check out something I can’t remember.
So maybe what I want is to be able to say something like “prepare for rewatch”, which sets the episode(s) to a middle state, where I can see I’ve watched it, but the status is not “watched”, so I can progress back through it without losing the fact that I have in fact seen it at some point in the past.
Is that the sort of thing you’re trying to accomplish?

The need, the request, is to be able to distinguish the first viewing from the others. On KODI, it is the colour of the progress bar that allows, or allowed this. When you rewatch an episode or a film, the progress bar is still there but it is not orange, it is green, for example.
This is quite useful for people who are not paying attention, to avoid, for example, rewatching one or more episodes to find out where they are. This is the case for my father and some of my friends.
Of course, this feature cannot be changed by the user, or at least not without going into the settings, otherwise it reverts to the orange triangle.
Is that clearer?

I would think that yes, it would be possible but the developer would need to see where there is enough of a demand for this feature to invest the development time to do this.
That is the purpose of this sub forum “Suggestions” is so they can have an additional method of determining the level of desire for this feature.
Currently there are three other users that have "liked’ this idea.
There may not be a lot of discussion in your thread but it’s still is in the mix of possible new features.
