DFU mode after "sleep"

Hi,

 

I’m new to the jailbreaking. I’m confused by the untethered jailbreaking.

My ATV2 is 5.2.1 and no shsh blobsaved for others versions, so I just followed the instruction in this forum to downgrade ATV2 to 4.4.2 without shsh blob. It works well and I usually switch it to sleep mode with power. The issue is that the ATV2 will run into DFU mode automatically after about 20 hours(light flashes quickly). Can anybody tell me why this happened and how to deal with it? Thanks a lot.

Hi there

What’s the point in spending ages downgrading to 4.4.2 (tethered) when you may just as well jailbreak on 5.2.1 (tethered) with your saved blobs or even use 5.3 (tethered) which is the current version and should jailbreak easily?

Yes, that’s what I want to do on the next step.

I tried jailbreaking 5.2.1 but failed when installing aTV Flash through PC, so downloading to 4.4.2.

I will try jailbreaking 5.2.1 this weekend and try to install aTV Flash through MAC.

I do not see any point in jailbreaking the 5.2.1 firmware rather than the current 5.3 release as they are both tethered jailbreaks. The 5.3 version should be much easier to do as it does not require you to have saved shsh blobs since Apple is still signing it.
