I have all my movies on a NAS and usually stream them directly from that device when I‘m at home. Works perfectly.
Downloading files from the NAS to the iOS device also works fine.
But:
How can I find out if a file is already on the iOS device or not?
And, more important: How can I delete a file locally without deleting it from the NAS?
Update:
Just found the solution:
Downloaded files are not stored in the same folder as the original (remote) file, but in the root folder of the iOS device. But it‘s possible to move them to a different local folder (e.g. "Downloads“). From there, you can watch the movies without an active network connection and also delete them without deleting the orginal file.
Maybe that shold be explained a litte bit more in the docs…
