Are there any benefits in buying a new AppleTV vs an older AppleTV if I want to use ATV Flash?

If so, how old should the AppleTV be to gain all the benefits of your product with all the bells n’ whistles?

If I am going to use external USB HDs via a hub for DVD files, photos, music, etc, how large should the internal HD?

I think I saw somewhere that eyeTV files are playable through your product?

The only real difference between the units is the hard drive size (40 vs 160GB). Other than than the hardware has remained unchanged since the initial release.
