I use FUGU to sftp the apple TV. Here’s how:

First, open Fugu

  1. Make sure you are in your Home directory.

  2. Go to the SFTP menu and choose Show hidden files

  3. Scroll down to a folder called .ssh. Delete the file inside called known-hosts

  4. Open Terminal and type: ssh root@your appleTV ip address

5)When prompted for a password type “alpine”  (without the quotes). You should now be looged into your appleTV. Logout and quit terminal.

  1. Return to Fugu and in the SFTP menu unchoose Show hidden files.

  2. In the console window type your appleTV ip address, type root as your usern, port 22 and press Connect. When prompted, type alpine as your passwd

  3. You’re in! You can now drag any addons to the appropriate folder in the remote directory…

Good luck!
