I was searching how to set up custom path for AFP on black 2.0, but found instruction only for ATV1. My goal is to set fetching media data only in specific folder with series and movies, because now it takes hours for media player to scan my time capsule disk. Any solution to avoid unnecessary scanning? Thank you!
I’ve just done this today when you add the share you need to add the path to the end of the Machine name, for example …
Plasma-NAS.local/Multimedia/Movies
Note its forward slashes and not back slashes. Then just enter the username and password as normal and you should be good to go.

The slash type will actually depend on the device being used. Some devices require ‘/’ while others use ‘’.
If one doesn’t end up working, just try the other. :)
