Create custom TV series using NFO/XML files

Great! Only 7+ years… my kids are now grown up and have moved out… but I guess I can organize movies of them…

I’ve almost deleted Infuse because of lacking custom tv shows. With this feature it would be possible to run a whole library with all local metadata only!

And sind offline is the new cool, it is about time for that feature!

did infuse 8.4. bring any change for you?
When I saw that there is the next option in “Metadata & Artwork” “prefer local artwork” and “prefer local Matadata” I was optimistic that it is now finally possible to create custom TV series.

However - no: in my case it still did not work. i.e. Star Trek Continues is still in “other” :face_with_raised_eyebrow:

Note this thread is still tagged as “planned”

You can follow the status here.

It looks like currently it’s on the list for 8.4.x

This is fantastic news, I’ve been waiting for this feature for years! Can’t wait!

this will help me with the show Ghosted, and Scrubs offhand, to re-order the episodes to the actual chronological dates instead of aired dates. looking forward to it

I’ll believe it when I see it.

Platform: Apple TV 4K 2.Gen
Infuse 8.5
SMB NAS

I have Star Trek Continues in the following format, under the Directory “Star Trek Continues” in my NAS:

Star.Trek.Continues.S01E01.Pilgrim of Eternity.mkv

On the Homepage, I went into Library → Other and selected one of the unidentified files. It then allowed me to select manually the series that it was connected to from a drop down list. It then scrapped it properly and removed it automatically from the Other category.
