Covers of TV series missing

Hello,

since version 6.4 the covers of TV series are always missing when re-entering the app.
When I enter into one series and leave, all the covers are showing up again correctly. But after leaving the app and re-entering the same problem appears again.
Could you please fix that?

When you leave the app are you by chance force quitting it or just using the home key to return to the home screen?

Are you cutting the ATV off in between uses like cutting the power?

I am just leaving by pressing the menu button often enough.
No cut off of ATV. Just start Netflix app and then enter Infuse again and the covers are missing.

Same happens here unfortunately…

I’ve just submitted diagnostics for this. For me, it’s the tv series folder that won’t show artwork. The artwork for each season seems to stay, but the folder for the entire series refuses to display any artwork. I tried clearing metadata but that had no effect.

Sorry for the trouble.

We’re looking into a few reports of this and hope to have a fix soon.

Same here. I noticed that if you use local artwork (in the same tv show folder) fix the issue.
There is some inconsistency for artwork downloaded from TVDB.
Terrible.

After updating to the latest version 6.4, all my TV Show posters are gone.

Season posters seems to be there, but many of the episode posters are also gone.

This occured after updating to version 6.4. No issues prior to that.

same issue for me, Apple TV4K 32GB,
after 6.4 update TV series folders do not show names and posters.
“season 1” or other within the folder is presented OK and same for movies.
also when browsing a tv series chapters - all background is black …

deleting all data and re-scanning does not help

please advise

Please see attached screenshots. I have a “Viewed” folder that is not included in my Library, it includes all my viewed TV shows and Movies. Recently noticed an issue with the cover art for all my TV Shows not included in my Library. I’m certain the file names for the TV shows are correct. The file name format also matches the format for unviewed TV shows in my Library, and the cover art for those TV shows are displaying correctly. The cover art issue is only present for the main TV show folder, the season and individual episodes cover art displays correctly.

Also, this issue is happening on both my tvOS and iOS devices. I have cleared all metadata on all my devices several times and the issue is still there. Also tried removing the shared folder and then adding it again, same issue. Not sure if I’m doing something else wrong or if it’s a current issue that needs to be addressed. Please let me know if there’s something I can change now to fix this or if it’s a current issue that is being worked on. Much thanks.

As stated before, the problem is not only with cover art, but also with background art.

For me this is not always the case. I have folders with multiple seasons where the cover art shows just fine and folders with one season and no artwork.

Quick update.

We’ve tracked down and resolved a few issues in this area, and are planning to submit a 6.4.1 update to Apple soon (likely on Friday). With any luck, this should be available on the App Store within a few days.

Thanks for your patience.

Thank you :+1:

Hi there

I noticed the other day that most of my TV show cover art was missing. The movie cover art was fine and I have tried clearing the metadata (which was listed as a fix for the recent movie cover art issue) with no success… The movie cover art refreshed as expected, but not the TV show cover art.

If I browse into a show folder, Infuse sees the shows, sorts them into series, and adds the series cover art, but if I then back out, the show cover art is just the blank folder image.

Up until a week ago, all the cover art was fine.

Could this be related to the TVDB upgrade mentioned in other posts related to missing movie cover art (not the issue in my case)?

All my media is stored locally on a NAS and the folder structure is TV<show><series><episode>.abc.

Running Infuse 6 on Apple TV 4.

Thank you in advance for any assistance and if there is any additional information you require, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Kind regards

Nick

Same set-up, same problem. Artwork for movies, grouped in folders or not, works fine. Artwork for all TV Shows is missing, showing only blank folder images. If I jump into one TV Show and back out, the artwork for that particular show reappears. If I then jump into another TV Show and back out, the artwork for that particular show reappears, but for all other it shows only blank folder images.

We’re submitting 6.4.1 to Apple today which includes fixes aimed at resolving issues with missing artwork.

Thanks for your patience.

Great news.

My ATV4K is doing the same. Tried everything but still no folder.jpg showing up for TV Shows main folder, seasons folder.jpg shows up and it all works fine on my iPhone and ipad so it must be a fault with the last update of infuse 6. It has been working fine for years. Folder and file naming for TV Shows is correct and tried deleting cache and manually selecting the show which brings it back until you go to another show to manually select the show and then it disappears. Movies show the cover art fine. Hopefully they will fix it in the next update.
