Correct Format for MetaData question

I stream movies to other devices besides appletv’s so I need to keep the format I have right now. An example of the movie title I have right now is below. But it wont download the meta-data unless i delete everything but the title. So I was wondering if it is possible so that when it “sees” the parenthesis is it stops reading the title for the movie right there. Hopefully I explained that right.

ZooKeeper(Comedy, 2011)- A group of zoo animals decide to break their code of silence in order to help their lovable zoo keeper find love

You might have to manually correct all the metadata  if you’re set on keeping your naming convention. http://support.firecore.com/entries/20557283-metadata-and-cover-art

Are there any programs that can auto-generate metadata that is in the format for this? I found one but the xml file it generates is not compatible with this media player, but the thumbnail that is makes is.

Could you tell me which program you have used to generate the xml file you showed?

I would like to try it on my collection and see if I can write a perl script to “convert” them according to the firecore provisions

Thank you for replying to my inquiry, the program I use is WDTVHubGen v2.1.1, you may want to change the option “Use original filenames” to True otherwise it will rename your files. It is really easy to use and retrieves metadata and thumbnails easily. Please let me know if you need anything else. You can download it from http://wdtvhubgen.codeplex.com/
