Continuous playback issue

Some of my TV series will not move onto the the next season - even though Continuous Playback is turned on (under the Playback entry) I have it set to On but have tried it on TV Shows only as well.

Peaky Blinders is one that does it on my set up. I have a naming convention that does work on other series, so wondering if this is just something that doesn’t work for some specific shows (although that would be strange)

Do you have the names of other series that do this along with Peaky Blinders?

Can you show a screen cap of how you have the directory set up with the file/folder names?

I cant remember the other shows this is occurring with but I am going to review some that may be likely offenders. Usually the naming format I use is {Series.name.Episode.Number.Episode.Name.Other Info}with all words separated by a dot.

I will try renaming these episodes.

I’d leave them as is. That’s about the most stable naming format there is for Infuse.
I wonder if the “Subs” folder in each season folder may be throwing things off.

Do you have a series that is playing across seasons that has a “Subs” folder in each season?

Yes. I have a separate subs folder for most of my shows. Doesn’t cause an issue for me

I will try to find another example to look at

Thanka

Also, just double checking, is it season 5 to season 6 that won’t continue? Or is it another season to season transition?

Was just digging around and saw this.

I don’t use continuous playback so I’m not sure if this may be part of what you’re seeing. Are you trying this by starting from the “Up Next” list?

All seasons. At the end of the last episode in each season it just kicks back to the main screen

I believe this is normal behavior since Infuse doesn’t automatically play the next season after finishing one—it lacks a ‘continue to next season’ feature.

Not when it works on some series and not others.

You may want to read the thread I linked to above regarding this.

Continues playback across seasons is something that I miss the most… for years now.

It (play next season when last episode of a season is finished) only works (ask god for the reason), when you go into the tv show, play the show and watch until you reach the end of a season. Then, only then, Infuse will play the next season automatically.

It does not work when you watch from the „Currently Watching" section.

I don’t know why, because usually I do not watch a show with 8 or even 24 episodes per season in one session. :joy:

Quick update on this issue.

I rebooted a few times and toggled the settings off and on and the problem was corrected on the series I had tested.

I will continue looking for other shows that had done this as well but for now things are working.

Thanks for everyone’s input.

Cheers

Found another series that doesn’t continue to the next season and is removed from the Watching list

The Blacklist.

Letting the last episode play through or clicking on the next episode button, returns you to the main series screen
