Confusion about searching metadata/title for shows

Hi there! I have a quick question about how Infuse handles metadata for TV shows and movies. Are they stored in separate databases?

Here’s what I noticed:
Initially, I named the files for a show without adding the season mark like S01. When I tried auto-fetch, nothing came up, so I used Edit Metadata option and the typed the name of the show into search box to manually assign the correct title. However, without the season marker in the filenames, the search only returned movie results—no matching cases for this TV show. As soon as I added “S01” to the filename, the correct show appeared immediately.

Is this expected behavior? Does Infuse rely on the season marker to determine which database to use?

Yup, that’s the way it works. The season episode labels determines which database at TMDB the API searches.
