Confused about Dolby Digital+ and Atmos support

I’m sorry but I’m still a little confused about Dolby Digital+ (w/Atmos) support with Infuse on the Apple TV.

Can I playback a file (.MKV or otherwise) that contains E-AC3+ (DD+) with Atmos on the Apple TV?

If so, will it bitstream or be decoded and sent as LPCM?

Thanks for the reply and I did read the article…

It says the audio could be output as LPCM, Dolby Digital 5.1, or stereo (PCM 2.0?).

I was confused about the “Dolby Digital 5.1” part but I’m thinking it means AC3 and not E-AC3 (with or without Atmos?)

It gets sent as Dolby MAT with is LPCM with Dolby Atmos. This is how all DD+ Atmos content is played regardless of the app being used.
