I have added multiple network shares to the Infuse library so I can stream them locally over SMB, and then added the shares a second time for remote streaming over WebDAV. So I have multiples shares to the same folder and not only is it visually cluttered, but my kids don’t know what’s the right one to choose, etc.
So my suggestion is to allow local and external protocol options for each created share, and the Infuse interface should detect whether the client (e.g. iPad, iPhone, Apple TV) is on the same local network as the share and use SMB or NFS, and if not, then use the external access type (e.g. FTP, WebDAV).
