Collections / Movie Sets

Hi,

sorry if this was asked before but searching didn’t help for me.

Question: Where does infuse collect the metadata to group movies into collections?
I always thought these information come from TMDB, but is can only be part of the truth.

Why I’m asking:
I have three movies in my infuse database:

  • Shaun of the Dead (2004) (tt0365748)
  • Hot Fuzz (2007) (tt0425112)
  • The World’s End (2013) (tt1213663)

All three movies where recognized correctly by infuse, and infuse created a collection named “Blood-and-Ice-Cream Trilogy”.
Also Artwork for this collection was downloaded, but “The World’s End” was not added to the collection.

So I did a little research on the TMDB website, and none of this movies is part of a collection at TMDB.

So where did the collection info and artwork come from, and why are only two of the movies part of this collection in infuse?

Regards

It seems that they are in fact a collection at themoviedb site. Strange but here’s a clarification on it.

and

EDIT TO ADD: Never mind, I think those just muddy the water. I too can not find a direct link on tmdb to show why you’re seeing a collection.

Hmm, as of right now, Infuse only uses Collection info from TMDb. I just tried it here, wasn’t able to get any Collections working, which makes sense since this isn’t listed on TMDb.

Are you able to send in an image of what you are seeing?

I have those movies, but it didn’t make a collection for me.

Hi, here are some Screens.
IMG_1 shows the Collections View, I’ve highlighted the “Blood-and-Ice-Cream-Trilogie” Artwork.
IMG_2 shows what’s part of the Collection.
IMG_3 shows that “The World’s End” is also Part of the Infuse Library.
