Can't Perform a Tethered Jailbreak

I have an atv2 which is running 5.3. For some reason I can’t seem to preform a tethered jailbreak. I thought it might be because itunes updated the operating system to 5.3, however most forums suggest that I should still be able to preform a tethered jailbreak. I know i’m doing everything right, I did it before with 5.2.1. I even tried to restore the 5.2.1 firmware using firecore, but that was a big bust. It just kept telling my I wasn’t eligible.

I am out of ideas… anyone

Thanks

you’re def. not doing everything right, more like not doing anything right… http://forum.firecore.com/topic/3418

NO JAILBREAK for 5.3

lol

Ok so I tried to restore it to 5.2.1 but it just keeps telling my i’m not eligable. what does that mean?

did you save blobs? then you can try this method i believe - http://forum.firecore.com/topic/10197

if not… then you’re SOL until there is a jb for 5.3

Should have a backup, isnt atv (black) supposed to backup backup automatically.  Also it goes through all the stages, loads a file from my desktop then after the itunes load it tells me im not eligable

no it does not do it automatically. use ifaith to check.

yeah b/c you’re not eligible …  5.3 is not eligible and 5.2.1 is not being signed anymore

You don’t require saved blobs…that’s the whole purpose for wanting to use that method.

yeah but not if you’re on 5.3 … then how do you revert back without blobs?

My understanding is that you can use the pre-signed IPSW for release 4.4.2 regardless of what version you are currently running.

Using Seas0npass 4.2.2. Doesnt seem to he jailbroken
