Can't find disk for installation of the atvflash

Just purchased the 4.0.5 version of the atvflash for windows. I have extracted the software and run the exe file. After the accepting of the licencing agreement it open the dialogue to select the drive for installing the flash. The drop down menu is empty and can’t find the usb stick (4GB) or any of the other 3 WD external hard drives mounted on my PC (both FAT & NTFS file systems). I have tried both on my Vista-x64 desktop as well as on my XP laptop. I have re-downloaded the file from the FC site and tried again, getting to the same issue. Any ideas?

The issue was resolved. It seems that the installer is not working with certain brands/types of usb sticks. After I changed the stick with another one from Kingston, everything proceeded as per the expectation.
The solution was pointed out by the support center of FC, so I would like to thank them.
