Can I use an external hard drive instead of a flash drive??

I have an external hard drive which is formatted in Mac OS Extended (Journaled) format. My question is can I use this hard drive to install ATV Flash on my apple tv or am I limited to using a USB flash drive?

Yes, any drive about 256mb in size should work. Please note, any information currently on the drive will be erased.
