Can I (upload) and play movies with subtitles to the apple TV 1st gen internal HD?

Hi!

I have an Apple TV 2nd Gen, but I’m about to buy an Apple TV 1st Gen (160 Gb), because I don’t want to stream movies anymore. I just want to copy them to the internal HD and play them from there. The main reason is that I want to be able to have mi favorites movies available without having to use the Mac (or any other computer).

So my question is, can I do this with the aTV Flash? Can I upload / copy movies to the internal HD and then play them (with subtitles)?

If you are still interested, the answer is Yes to both questions
You’ll need an FTP program, like Transmit, to move the movies from the Mac/PC to the ARV Silver
