I’m a complete rookie, but I can see that this is the site where the experts reside.
Here’s my issue: I was sent an ATV 5.2.1 about 6 weeks ago already jailbroken, along with instructions on how to tether it using my own MAC. Using Seasonpass 9.0, my instructions were to download the IPSW file (about a 20 minute process), and then connect my ATV and follow the standard tethered boot process – which has worked perfectly for me.
I now want to send this same ATV to my Dad across the country who would enjoy all the incredible content. My Dad is competent enough to handle the tethering process, but I wanted to confirm my links before I sent the unit.
I now see that Seasonpass 9.0 is not availabe and the directions I received no longer work with SP 9.3, which seems to be the only version available.
How do I send this ATV to my father and allow him to complete a tethered boot?
Is there a simple, obvious step I’m missing?
Also, are there links to previous SP versions? Are these useful, or should the latest 9.3 version be sufficient for all user needs?
Thanks in advance.

You can copy the seas0npass you have and burn it to a disk and send it along with the ATV… might as well burn the ipsw you downloaded to save him some time. Just have him copy it to the same directory you found it in.

I don’t know the steps you took before so I cant answer that. Here are the steps for the newer version of seas0npass http://support.firecore.com/entries/387605

I did a quick search and couldn’t fand any oler versions, although I’m sure a deeper search could find them.
Thanks Carpenter940. Worked like a charm!
It’s actually easier than presented above:
Using SP 9.3, right click on the “Boot Tethered” icon and simply choose your tethered software version.
It could not be more simple!
