I have noticed a bug regarding subtitle rendering since updating to Infuse 8.5.
Currently, if I use an external .ass subtitle file alongside an .mkv video, Infuse fails to recognise and apply the fonts embedded within the .mkv container. The subtitles end up displaying in a standard font instead of the intended ones from the .mkv.
This was working perfectly fine in the previous version of Infuse.
As a workaround, if I mux the .ass subtitle file directly into the .mkv container, the fonts are applied correctly and display as normal. It appears the issue is specifically related to how version 8.5 handles external .ass files combined with internal .mkv fonts.
I have uploaded the files. To help you reproduce the issue, I have included three files:
external.mkv & external.ass: Please test these two together. The .mkv container includes the embedded font files. However, when playing it with the external .ass subtitle, you will see that Infuse fails to load those embedded fonts.
combined.mkv: This serves as a working example. It is the exact same video, but I have muxed the .ass file directly into the container. When playing this version, the fonts render perfectly.
