Bottom window bar does not disappear during playback

I’ve been noticing for a while now that in Infuse (currently 8.2.5) for Vision OS (26) the bottom window bar (the one to drag the window around) and the dots left and right do not disappear anymore during playback. The playback controls do disappear, though.

Not exactly sure when this started, and if that’s an infuse issue or a visionOS issue. I was on the visionOS developer beta for the past months, so I assumed it’s just a bug in the unfinished OS. But now it’s still there in the final release, and I haven’t noticed any other app to have this issue.

Any idea why this is happening?

Indeed very annoying. Unfortunately still present in 8.3…

What I usually do meanwhile is fix the window after the playback start (long ‚press‘ of the x/close button). That turns the bar into a dot, which is less annoying.

Still, hope this to be fixed soon…

That’s a great tip which makes it a bit better.
However. Do the Devs ever reply or take notice of these issues? The software apart from this issue has been great for me though.

I suggest anyone else who finds this annoying to raise a ticket about it with the Devs which is what I have done.
I doubt the Devs actually pay much or any attention to the Forums especially the Vision Pro one.

Yes, I raised the issue via mail as well in September. On 10/6 I got the reply that they will forward the issue to the team. Nothing else since.

One would think that this would be an easy, little fix. Yet multiple new versions passed and it’s still there… :man_shrugging:

The dev has to be able to first replicate the problem and then make sure the fix doesn’t blow up something else. With only 3 people mentioning it there may be a little time involved in determining what causes it.

This thread is tagged as “researching” so their looking into it. :wink:

Indeed. Sadly… Got it acknowledged many months ago here and via mail. Promises all around that this will be looked at. Then release after release… nothing. :frowning:

This happens to everybody every time they play a video in Infuse. It’s a simple window attribute that the devs need to set.

That‘s what I thought. Simple fix probably. But as noted above by a mod, not enough people complaining, therefore not important… :face_with_diagonal_mouth: :worried:

Here’s another vision pro user complaining about it. It’s one line of code. In SwiftUI it’s persistentSystemOverlays. Fix it please!!
