I understand that these features need to be implemented by Apple. However, if these features are not requested by a considerable amount of users and developers, it is unlikely that they will ever appear on Apple TV.
I would therefore suggest that Firecore encourages users to contact Apple and request these features. This could be done by opening two new “official” threads: “Help getting bitstream HD audio on Apple TV” and “Help getting 3D (Frame packaging) on Apple TV”.
Is this feasible?

I could see maybe bitstreaming but success for 3D is very low. It’s pretty much a dead legacy format.

The thread for Atmos (linked below) has more details on the request we’re asking people to send to Apple, with regard to audio bit streaming.
Update 2/10/20: Infuse now supports Dolby Atmos when using E-AC3 audio tracks.
Dolby Atmos support has been announced at WWDC for tvOS 12!
Unfortunately, the current implementation is only useful for VOD services like iTunes, Netflix, and Vudu. Enabling Atmos for (most) local content is a change that needs to come from Apple, and as the old saying goes “The squeaky wheel gets the grease.” So...we're asking you to be as squeaky as possible...within reason of course.
