Best settings for Apple TV 4K and Infuse 6

Hi,

I had some problems earlier with playing 4K videos but I was told that Infuse is the best application on the market at the moment. So I tried it and it plays 4K movies perfectly.

I’m still a little bit confused about the settings.
I’m watching 4K HDR and SDR content on Infuse and Netflix via Apple TV 4K.

So my question is, which settings are the best for my setup (Video and Audio)?

Here is what I have found out this far (this is just my suggestion):

NAS: DS218+ , latest DSM → No settings required
TV: Samsung Q90R, Tizen → AVR HDMI input in mode Input Plus
Multimedia Streamer: Apple TV 4K → Dynamic Range Match and Frame Rate Match both ON, Do I choose HDR or SDR 60FPS?
App on ATV4K: Infuse 6.0 → No settings required
AVR: Denon X3500H → 4K HDMI Settings to Enhanced, Video Conversion OFF

What should I change?
TIA

Welcome to the forum!

As long as you have the Match Content options enabled on your Apple TV (About frame rate and dynamic range matching on Apple TV - Apple Support) you can choose from any of the video output options (HDR 60Hz, SDR 60Hz, etc…). With the match content options enabled, Infuse will be able to adjust the video output to match the content being played, so the default settings will not really have an impact.

Some people prefer to have the menus in SDR, while others want everything in HDR. It’s mainly a personal preference.

Thank you. Now I can just lay back and watch movies.
