Best method to get support?

What is the best method to get support? I’m a licensed user and wrote support about a week and half ago for a playback/crashing issue and have yet to get any useful response. Thanks!

Sorry for the trouble. We have been looking into a few similar reports, and are working to submit a fix to Apple shortly. You can follow this thread for updates.

Welcome to the forum!

This is a user supported forum so if you post your issues here there’s a good chance that other users who may have encountered the same problem may have found a solution that will work for you.

Just remember, when you post please provide a good overview of what your seeing and what version numbers of software (don’t just say “the latest”) and what devices and OS numbers.

@james @NC_Bullseye Thanks for the follow-ups and direction here. I sent another follow-up to my original ticket after several more days went by with no support response. Was kind of freaking out, but then remembered to come back here to check.

Glad to hear this is on the radar and being addressed!

At any rate, I had a similar problem to the linked post. It only seemed to start happening when I created some local folders to organize some downloaded files that had been sitting there for ages at the top level.

I created multi-level organization folders in the Files app and InFuse couldn’t see the video files, so I removed the nested folders and put the downloaded files at “level one” of my created folders. I presume this is a known issue/limitation.

When playback was unstable with this setup (it was crashing playing non-downloaded videos on my lan too), in desperation (saying so as I was concerned I’d have to re-setup everything, lose my history, etc.), I deleted InFuse app and reinstalled it.

That seemed to resolve the crashing. I then re-added only top level local organization folders (no sub-folders) and moved newly downloaded files into those folders. It hasn’t crashed since I did this. Maybe it’s all unrelated. This was all with 8.1.5 (5180), which I still am using.
