Backup metadata on Mac?

I organize my media by creating and ordering custom collections using Infuse on my Mac, and watch media using Infuse on AppleTV. A while ago, when there were problems with collections, I lost much of the organization from my Mac when infuse on AppleTV reverted to an earlier version of collections and overwrote the iCloud information.

Is there any way to backup metadata on my Mac, in case there are future problems? Even a text list of what’s in each collection, in order, would make it much easier to recover.

For the moment, I made a python script to backup a text list of my custom collections directly from the database file, “com.firecore.media.meta.db”. I assume it will stop working when things change.
