Auto-downloading subtitles in the chosen language when there´s no srt file and the same subtitle language does not exist in the file would be fantastic!
Yes please, read the file name and fetch the preferred language from settings and auto download srt file.
if it takes up the disk overtime, add the auto download button in the setting dropdown when the video is playing. So the best match auto downloads ( kind of like i am feeling lucky button google had )
Hopefully this would just be a setting. As someone who downloads subtitles often, I think people don’t realize how this would result in a poor user experience. Not all subtitles are timed correctly. You’d have users downloading subtitles automatically only for the subtitles to be wrong. So hopefully if this is implemented it’s off by default and hidden behind a settings flag.

Infuse could recognize keywords in the file (Webrip, Remux, 1080p, 2160p, etc) and automatically try to pair them with the subtitles with the most similar name.
Stremio has addons tha can auto-download subtitles and pair them through MovieHash. Infuse could use something similar. Is this in any way possible @james ?
