Hey James & Infuse team ![]()
First off, thanks for all the hard work — Infuse is an amazing app and continues to be my go-to player on Apple TV. I wanted to suggest a small enhancement that would really help with managing and browsing large libraries:
Currently, the only way to get a title marked as a Blu-ray REMUX is by adding {edition-Blu-ray REMUX} to the filename — which is great — but that tag only appears after the file is played once.
So right now I have to:
- Play the file briefly
- Exit
- Then the REMUX tag shows up in the details
(Rinse and repeat across many files)
It would be awesome if Infuse could:
- Detect the
{edition-Blu-ray REMUX}tag from the filename before playback - Optionally also check folder names like
[Blu-ray REMUX] - Add a filter or smart view for “Blu-ray REMUX” editions or any edition
This is how I currently name my files and folders for clarity and metadata control:
Example Filename:
The Lovely Bones (2009) 2160p HDR [SPA, ENG] H265 [EAC3, DTS] [5.1, 5.1] {tmdb-7980} {edition-Blu-ray REMUX}.mkv
Example Folder:
The Lovely Bones (2009) 2160p HDR [26.69 GB] [SPA, ENG] [EAC3, DTS - 5.1, 5.1] [Blu-ray REMUX]
It would also be great if Infuse could display basic audio language and codec info (like [SPA, ENG] [EAC3, DTS - 5.1, 5.1]) directly in the video details page, I name my files in order for example, SPA corresponds to EAC3 5.1 and ENG corresponds to DTS 5.1 making it easy to know which track is which before playback. I manage a large library (hosted on Google Drive) and share it with family who don’t always speak English.
Being able to filter by REMUX quality would make navigating and organizing the collection much easier for everyone.
Thanks again for all the great updates and polish — Infuse keeps getting better and better ![]()
Guys, +1 if this would help you too ![]()
